Smart Test Drive

With tongue planted firmly in cheek, we partnered with PaduloX to create this entertaining spot for Smart Car, highlighting their involvement in The Smart City Project. Inspired by references as diverse as the Canadian wildlife spots “Hinterland Who’s Who” and also borrowing from the arch narration of BBC’s “Planet Earth,” this video imagines a world where gas powered lawn mowers are predators decimating the North American landscape. In an inspired comic twist, their lawn care dominance is suddenly challenged by sheep in the urban wilderness of Tokyo and Paris. The comedy serves as a way to engage viewers and to help open their minds to ideas around sustainability and eco-friendly solutions – available on the Smart City Project website, and perfectly in sync with Smart Car’s brand promise.
